Vickers Chambless
As President of Vickers Chambless Managed Search, Mr. Chambless has contributed
a number of career development columns to Healthcare Financial Management
magazine. He has worked in healthcare since 1981, been an executive search
consultant since 1986, and HFMA member since 1987.
Mr. Chambless established the executive search firm
that bears his name on July 1, 1992. In keeping with his previous
experience, the firm works exclusively in the finance and administrative areas
of the healthcare arena.
The firm's clients include Big 5 public accounting
firms, Regional CPA firms with healthcare practices, investor-owned hospital
chains, not-for-profit multi-hospital systems, freestanding hospitals, sole
community providers, physician practice management companies and numerous
managed care organizations.
Since November of 1999 St. Joseph's/Candler Health
System of Savannah, GA has retained VCMS to fill 4 positions. Since
October of 2000 Lovelace Health System of Albuquerque, NM has also used VCMS to
fill 4 positions.
Prior to forming VCMS, Mr. Chambless was employed
with Dunhill of Atlanta, beginning there in the fall of 1986. He worked
exclusively on healthcare searches.
Mr. Chambless received numerous awards from the
Dunhill System. Each year, from 1987-1991, he was among the Top Five
Consultants in the Southeastern Region, and made the Dunhill Key Club which is
the top 5% of national consultants. In 1989 and 1991, he received The
Top Healthcare Consultant Award. And in 1990, he received Dunhill's National
Top Consultant Award.
Prior to joining Dunhill, Mr. Chambless worked in the Planning and Marketing Department at Medlantic Healthcare Group, a 1,300 bed not-for-profit multi-hospital provider in Washington, DC.
Previously, he worked in the Marketing and Advertising Department of Whittaker International Services Company. At the time,
Whittaker was the world's largest international healthcare recruiting firm, primarily recruiting physicians and other healthcare professionals for positions in the Middle East.
Mr. Chambless is a 1976 graduate of The George Washington University.

As Division Director and top producer with Robert Half International, Inc., a Forbes platinum company and Fortune 500 company, Jane influenced the careers of thousands of accounting, finance, and accounting operations professionals in greater Atlanta in a variety of industries.
Prior to that, Jane worked as a researcher with Spencer Stuart in Atlanta identifying candidates for retained searches. Jane decided to specialize her recruiting in the healthcare industry and expand her efforts to a national scope under the leadership of Vickers Chambless, an expert in the field.
In addition to recruiting experience, Jane has almost 15 years of experience in the financial services industry including five years with The Travelers Insurance Company home office as an account executive and corporate trainer and four years as Vice President of Marketing with Investment Training Institute-Nash, an international securities license exam preparation company.
